Press Release
Register of Citizens Opens for Certified Extracts
Office of the Spokesperson

The Register of Citizens of the Velocity Interoperability Network is open from today. The Register records the name, register number, date of entry, route to citizenship and recorded site of residence of every citizen of the Network, together with the ceremony at which citizenship took effect.
A citizen may request a certified extract of their own entry by writing to the Office. Extracts are issued by email within five working days and are accepted throughout the Network as evidence of citizenship. A full extract shows every particular recorded; a short extract shows only the name, register number and date of entry, and is intended for use where a citizen does not wish to disclose their route to citizenship or site of residence.
The Register is not published. Particulars are disclosed to a third party only with the written consent of the citizen concerned, or where an authority of the Network is entitled to them under the arrangements set out on the Register of Citizens page of this site.
A citizen who believes that a particular is wrongly recorded may apply for its correction. Corrections arising from an error by the Office or by a member organisation are made without charge and the citizen is notified when the entry has been amended. Requests may be sent to contact@citizenship.gov.vin.
